The friction box is fitted to the underside of the door frame. The short side of the box plate 54mm from the vertical frame on the hinged side of the door. The long side of the box plate is positioned to be just clear of the face of the door when closed. For maximum movement the angle plate is fitted to the door towards the hinge side. For restricted movement the angle plate is fitted away from the hinge side to the required position. Friction is adjusted by unscrewing the locknut, turning the metal thread screw to required adjustment and tightening up the locknut.
