The centre of the keyhole must be 60mm from the edge of the door, and the overall width of the lock body to be fitted to the inside of the door is 92mm. This lock should preferably be used in conjunction with a British Standard mortice lock (BS3621). This is a security lock with manual deadlocking by reverse turn of the key in the outside cylinder. It is operated by key from the outside and lever handle from the inside.
