The lock has an automatic deadlocking action, but the snib can be used as a hold back when the door needs to be left ajar. A special Chubb handle (3R35F supplied separately) is fitted to the inside only but can be secured by key from either side. This lock is a right hand lock. It is for doors hinged on the right (when viewed from inside) inward or outward opening.
The distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the keyhole (backset) measures 50mm. The distance from the centre of the follower which operates the handles, to the centre of the keyhole measures 56mm. Lock is force and pick resistant.
